Apparently the Fisker Karma Karma Revero got a facelift last year. The moustache is no longer, which in my mind is definitely a good thing. Also gone is the GM-sourced range extender, replaced by the three cylinder powerplant from the BMW i8. I personally think the Karma has aged incredibly well, but good god if you spend $135,000 on one of these instead of a Tesla, or an E-Tron, or a Polestar, or an I-Pace, or a Taycan, or literally any other electric car, you’re a complete moron and you shouldn’t be trusted with money.
But man does it look good.
They also updated the interior a bit, but it still looks mostly the same as it did in 2012, just with a new steering wheel and slightly fancier screens. Even in pictures it looks like it’s going to fall apart at any second. It’s really a damn shame Henrik Fisker and Tesla fell out, because Tesla’s technology and the Karma’s looks would’ve been a killer combination.

I thought the new ones weren’t hybrid at all. I was under the impression that hey just had an LS V8 under the hood

Looks like the moustache face got dragged into the interior screaming.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous car. Like you said you’d have to either be a complete moron or already have several other cars and have enough money to burn that you can throw some down the toilet for the sole reason of being different to buy one.
I wonder if they actually gain any benefit by switching to the BMW motor beyond the cache of having a BMW motor compared to a GM motor in the car. Maybe it’s lighter and/or slightly more efficient?

That’s the VLF Destino. VLF had nothing really to do with Fisker as a company, and bought a bunch of gliders from Fisker and shoved LS motors into them. Or at least that was the plan, I’m not sure if they ever got around to selling cars.
Karma on the other hand is the result of Wanxiang buying out Fisker’s assets and restarting production of the original PHEV Karma. Until the GT was announced the car was basically the same as the original apart from some minor interior tweaks and the new name.

You may be thinking of the VLF Destino.

To be fair, the original Karma drove great. The styling still turns heads. What I hated most was the awful infotainment interface. It was laggy like an iPhone at the tail end of its planned obsolescence. Fucking infuriating.
If they fixed that and it drives just as good (likely), then I wouldn’t throw any shame to those who would choose this. It’s still pretty dope.

We had a local Karma dealer for a bit, and I did a little research. Objectively worse performance than any of its competition, and I was floored by the pricing. Beautiful car ( more so in person than in photos imho), but you’d be nuts to buy one.

Well Tom Price ( look him up if you don’t know, Tom Price Automotive LLC ) has his vehicle maintenance building near where I live and he has a Karma charging in front of his office, they had a charging station installed. I’ve never seen a Tesla there, I hate Tesla, so I’ve always took that as a sign I would get along with Tom!
